Quick Question

Ok, time for a rant!

(please remember that for my rants I will not show names or anything like that, it's to protect the original artist and I don't want anyone to go on a 'Witch Hunt')

So, I was browsing some Kisekae stuff on DA and I found this really cool Creepypasta OC. And, as usual, I go down to see the comments...and I see something HILARIOUS.

It was something like this: 'omg why do they have a japanese name when they aren't even japanese and there's no such thing as a creepypasta oc!'.

I get the first part, but the artist explains that one of the character's parents is Japanese and gave them a Japanese name. Which makes sense, not gonna argue with that. It's like saying a character who is born in Japan but one of the parents are German shouldn't give the kid a German name. Or if someone is from a Spanish family but born in the US, suddenly they can't have a Spanish name? I mean, at least the artist explained it and everything.

But the next one....the one where they said there is 'no such thing' as a Creepypasta OC.   How.....what world do you live in where there's no such thing as an OC? Have you not been on the internet until the moment you posted that comment? I mean, clearly they've been on long enough to make a DA account and know what a 'Creepypasta' actually is so they should know that there's a sub-genre where people make OC's and shit. I always say 'if it has a fandom, there will ALWAYS be OC's made for it'. That's just the rules of the internet.

I think the commenter is someone who is really young and hasn't had much experience on the internet. Still, it baffles me to hear that someone believes that there is 'no such thing as a Creepypasta OC'. I mean, I was around when those started to become really popular and I even made a few of my own (never posted them as I'm planning to revamp them so they don't suck arse). I even remember the backlash when people started making them, and it was HUGE. So to hear that it was 'not real' makes me think that the person is blind to it all or did no research whatsoever.

Anyways, felt like I needed to rant about it because it was just too funny to ignore. I'm not even really that 'angry' tbh, I just wanted to laugh about it.
